I have been struggling with being overweight since I was ten years old. During my life I tried to lose weight with many different diets. In the past I joined Weight Watchers®, Jenny Craig® and even went to what I call “fat doctors” - nothing worked for me.
After high school, I was determined to lose the weight. I did lose weight but in the unhealthiest way you could imagine. I literally starved myself, took diet pills and laxatives, becoming so unhealthy and so unhappy I eventually stopped that method. After I stopped, all of my weight came back plus more. I was miserable. I began to feel that “it is what it is” and over the years I unwillingly accepted it.
Eight months ago, my brother, Guido, came to me and shared information on products and a business plan called Genesis PURE. I decided to join Genesis PURE and try the products; I had nothing to lose but weight. I wasn’t really sure if these products would work for me but it couldn’t be any worse than starving myself.
I started on the Genesis PURE products and the first week I lost 11 pounds! I was so excited. Then the next week I lost more weight. With each passing week I lost weight and felt healthy for the first time in my life. Over eight months I have lost a total of 95 pounds.

In November of 2009 I was a 40-year-old mom of six children, who was suffering from chronic migraines, hypoglycemia, the beginnings of Parkinson's, extreme allergies & asthma, chronic colds & sinus infections, and PMS accompanied by debilitating joint pain. At one point in my life I had weighed over 200 lbs and had managed to get a lot of that weight off by maintaining a regular exercise routine. Despite my efforts, I was unable to lose the last 20 pounds I wanted to and felt terrible all the time because of my many health issues.
Frustrated with the answers I was getting from doctors and truly being concerned with what prescription medications could do to my body, I started researching the benefits of natural, organic supplements. I was soon introduced to the Genesis PURE™ philosophy of Cleanse, Balance and Build which resonated very strongly with me. I ordered the Core Four products, along with ENERGY, Metabolic Boost, and the Meal Replacement Shakes to get me started. I was hoping to feel a difference and see some results.
Boy did I! I was shocked as everything that had been wrong in my body resolved itself. I felt like a brand new person! I truly feel better now than I did when I was a kid.
I started off taking ENERGY literally as soon as I woke up. (I kept it in my bathroom beside an empty water bottle.) It was a great wake-up! By the time I finished brushing my teeth, I was ready to take on the world. I would then head to the kitchen and take 2 oz of GoYin, 1 oz of Nutrition, and 2 Metabolic Boost capsules. The directions on the bottle of Metabolic Boost say to take it 15-20 minutes before eating though I found it would be closer to an hour before I would get to make my Meal Replacement Shake. One of the things I really enjoy about the Meal Replacement Shake is the versatility of the product. I could add berries or bananas to it and tweak the flavor of it and give it more texture. I could also add ice to it for a slushier consistency. If I needed an extra boost that day, I could add a packet of ENERGY to it.
Establishing this routine was easy for me. The system was simple and I saw fast results. After two weeks, I had lost 10 lbs! Encouraged by this, I decided to do the 7-Day Detox. I really was interested in this because of all of the prescription medicines I had taken. I was extremely concerned about the toxins in my body. The possibility of losing some weight while on it was a bonus. When I ordered the products, I printed out the menu and headed to the grocery store to get everything I would need for the seven days. I did not want to put myself in a situation where I had to go into the grocery store for chicken broth and find myself being tempted by doughnuts. I also made sure that my kids’ meals were planned out for the week and that they had plenty of things they could grab from the fridge and reheat.
The Detox was a great success! The lost weight, several inches, and just really felt "cleaner". Of course, there were moments when it was hard. Days six and seven were especially tough after eating some solid food the days before. I craved something to bite into. It definitely helped to have my husband go through the Detox with me. The accountability and encouragement were essential for me to be successful that week.
After starting the Genesis PURE products, I found a noticeable change in my running performance. My run times and distances improved considerably. I had been training for some upcoming 10 ½ mile marathon races and had been frustrated by my mile times. No matter what I did, I couldn't get them to improve. After beginning the Genesis PURE products, I knocked minutes off each mile on my long runs. Not seconds, but minutes! On a 10 mile run, I finished at least 20 minutes faster than I had before!
Eight weeks after I started the journey with Genesis PURE, I had lost the 20 lbs that I had wanted to lose.... that was great news! The bad news was that I realized that I still had more that I needed to lose and that I had reached a plateau. I kept up with what I had been doing, but didn't break the plateau until I heard Dr. Lindsey speak in May of 2010. He said to maximize your body's ability to use its own fuel sources (fat) and to take the Metabolic Boost with the ENERGY. I had been taking those about 30 minutes apart, but when I started taking them together I broke through that plateau! I lost another 10 lbs the following two weeks. It was amazing!
Developing a healthier you can be difficult. When you haven't exercised in years, it's hard to know where and how to start. When you've eaten poorly all your life, learning what to buy and how to cook it can be overwhelming. My advice is just to begin somewhere. Take a 10-minute walk. Eat fruit or raw veggies for a snack instead of a candy bar or chips. Drink a glass of water today. If you try to exercise and eat perfectly, you're probably going to give up quickly so take it slow. You didn't get out of shape overnight and you're not going to get back into it overnight either. Think long-term goals. Where do you want to be in a year? Then think about the short-term goals needed to get there. Break it down into manageable steps and congratulate yourself when you take those steps. If you have a misstep, forgive yourself and move on. It is not the end of the world if you miss a workout or have three slices of pizza for dinner. I can promise you this though: the Genesis PURE products make it all so much easier. When you've taken the ENERGY, Metabolic Boost, and Nutrition, you're going to find yourself unable to just sit all day. You're going to crave exercise. When you take the GoYin and Liquid Cleanse, you're going to find that with a clean, balanced body, you're going to crave food that supports a healthier you!

I have been overweight for years. After trying basically every diet product I could get my hands on with no success of keeping the few pounds off I did lose, I found a product called HealthTrim by Genesis PURE. This product line has literally given me a new beginning in my life.
I started taking the HealthTrim products on June 1, 2009. I also committed to walking two miles each day and a short 10 minute exercise routine each morning.
